Bay area ceramic artist Matt Brown popped through Stockton during the last week of January to drop off a stack of bowls to throw on the pile for this years “Souper Supper”. These are big and beautiful cone 6 bowls and are a very different faire from last years’  soda fired teaware.

His yunomi and chawans are quickly becoming collectors items among tea connoisseurs. Matt’s work is extreamly well crafted with thought given to every aspect of ware he creates. The result is a marvel to hold….  his approach to texture and surface is aggressive yet soothing to the touch.
